General Questions

  • Soleil Academy is a free, public school open to all students.

  • There is no tuition to attend Soleil Academy; it is a free, public school open to all. Further, there is no entrance exam or other requirements for admission.

Donations

  • Your donations directly support Soleil Academy Charter School. Currently, all funds are being used to purchase classroom libraries and school furniture.

  • Yes, your donation is tax-deductible. Our Executive Director will provide every donor a formal acknowledgment letter upon receipt of donation.

  • As a sustaining donor, your credit card will be conveniently billed every month. If you need to suspend your membership, please contact us.

  • We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Soleil Academy, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

  • Yes. A January 2012 report by the state Legislative Analyst's Office found that charter schools receive at least 7% less funding than traditional schools across the board, or $395 per student, and as much as $1,000 per student for some charter schools. We rely heavily on private donors as well as grants and corporate donations.
